Ms. Lucie Ogrodnik, manager of the Family Violence Program, Statistics Canada, has authored the feature chapters in the 2006 and 2007 editions of the Family Violence in Canada report. Using a very large micro data file she examined spousal violence/spousal homicide and prior police contact over a 10-year period. Her expertise lies in the analysis of police-reported crime statistics, specifically in the area of spousal violence.
